Conor Lamb and Deirdre Galway

Conor Lamb and Deirdre Galway have been performing together for over 15 years and are founding members of Réalta and Music in the Glen. Performing on uilleann pipes, whistles, guitar and vocals this duo play Irish traditional music with passion, energy, rhythm and respect.

They have brought the songs, stories and dance music of Ireland to venues all over the world, teaching and gigging throughout Europe, Asia and America as well as spending several months at sea as Disney Cruise Line entertainers.

In 2024, commissioned by Live Music Now Northern Ireland, Conor and Deirdre recorded ‘The Leap’ alongside fellow bandmates from Réalta, featuring spoken word (Anne McMaster) and art (Peter Crann). It tells the legendary story of how the faithful hound of an Ó Catháin chief leapt a gorge on the River Roe to muster help during a Norman attack and gave the town of Limavady its name (Léim an Mhadaidh – ‘The Dog’s Leap’).
